1st Rushen Cubs Indoor Camp

Last month 1st Rushen Cubs had their 2nd indoor camp of the season. The evening began with a night walk followed by putting up the tents since the cubs all slept inside their tents inside our hall!

1st Rushen visits the fudge factory

1st Rushen Cubs had a fantastic evening last week visiting The Original Manx Fudge Factory and were shown around by the owner Mr Peter Birch. During the evening the cubs were shown how the fudge was made and even had the chance to sample the many flavours of fudge.

Santan's trip to the Airport Fire Station

1st Santan had a visit to Ronaldsway Airport's fire station recently. They got to have a good look round and were able to sit in a fire engine and fire boat.

New Colony at Malew invests its first Beavers

 

1st Malew's newest Beavers are investedAfter starting its second Beaver Colony in early January, its numbers have steadily risen to 12, of whom seven were invested by Beaver leader Kevin Bott on Wednesday the 15th January.

'Viking' Troop - A night at the theatre

'Viking' Troop of the 1st Malew Scout Group had a meeting with a difference when they went to the opening night of the Musical "The Wiz" at Castle Rushen High School. The Wiz is a take of the original Wizard of Oz story and was a blend of music, song, dance and comedy.
