February 1984. Presentation of a cheque for £52.00 to the Hospice Care fund by 2nd Onchan Cub Scouts. The money was raised by a cake competition and coffee evening organised by Cub Scout Leader Mrs F. A. Davies and Assistant Cub Scout Leader Mrs D. Christian. The Chief Scout Major-General Michael J.H. Walsh C.B., D.S.O. visited the Island in 1982 for the 75th Anniversary of Scouting. His visit coincided with the annual Tynwald Ceremony which he attended as a special guest. In this photograph Sir Michael is seen in the foreground. He is wearing the insignia of Commander of the Bath and the Silver Wolf around his neck.
